Yamaner, Cömert and Üstün participate in the ‘Wednesday Workshops’ in November

Güzin Yamaner, Murat Cömert and İlknur Üstün were determined as the contributors of November Schedule of the Wednesday Workshops.
Güzin Yamaner, Assistant Professor from Ankara University will be in Kaos Culture Center in the first workshop of November (2nd of November, Wednesday) to make a presentation titled ‘ Abuse as reflection of violence: Definitions, perception, the process of prevention and reflexion together from now on…’
The workshops will give a break for a week and then continue on 16th of November, Wednesday with Murat Cömert.
Cömert, from METU, will talk over discussions on ‘Queer’ with ‘’Cursed Sodomist’ – ‘Sick Homosexual’ – ‘Proud Gay’ – ‘Unstable Kvir/Kuir/Q’’: A Historical Perspective on Naming Gay Desire and Classification.’
A second break will be given on 23 th of November regarding the ‘Kuirfest’ week that will be organized by the Pink Life Association between the dates 17-24 November.
The last event of November Schedule will take place on 30 th of November with the title ‘Abuse from Victimhood to Politics’. It is needed to register in advance for the workshop which will be presented and moderated by feminist İlknur Üstün and will take place in Kaos Culture Center.
‘Who Questions the Causes of Homosexuality and Why?’
October Schedule of Kaos GL Wednesday Workshops was completed on 26 th of October with Selçuk Candansayar. Prof. Selçuk Candansayar from Gazi University Medical Faculty took over the question ‘Who Questions the Causes of Homosexuality and Why?’ and discussed the process of medicalization of homosexuality in general.
Kaos GL ‘WEDNESDAY WORKSHOPS’ are held on every Wednesday on 18:30 at Kaos GL Culture Center.
Kaos GL who organizes the workshops with the contributions of experts in order to review what they know, to learn together and to share what they learn, determines the schedule from the fields of study and struggle.
Kaos GL invites everybody to participate in and contribute to the workshops. In addition, Kaos GL plans that the ‘Wednesday Workshops’ will evolve in an academy (‘Kaos Academy’).
